WELCOME TO OSWEGO, NY

As Mayor it is my honor to welcome you to our community and area. We have so much to see and do as our city is truly a year-round destination of fun! On behalf of all City residents, I invite you to experience all the unique assets within our community. Especially if you haven’t visited recently, I encourage you to come back and see the progress and improvements that have occurred in the last few years.

Since 2016, due to an influx of public and private investments, the City has experienced a resurgence in our downtown as new restaurants, and small businesses occupy our storefronts, creating a vibrant and lively ambience.  Events and venues throughout the year truly make Oswego an interesting place to visit anytime. Our unique assets like Fort Ontario, Safe Haven Museum, Lighthouse Tours and Richardson-Bates House Museum make our community a regional destination. In addition, our weekly downtown Farmers' Markets, our annual city-wide celebration known as Harborfest, Independence Day parade, Halloween Creepy Crawl, Pumpkinfest and our annual Tree Lighting events all contribute to a fun place to visit or live.

In recent years we have capitalized on our world class Lake Ontario waterfront and our prime location along the Oswego River. Improvements in Breitbeck Park, Wright’s Landing Marina and the construction of the William S. Cahill Pier have created a beautiful and inviting shoreline.

The City of Oswego has a bit of everything to offer as we continue to work to revitalize our historic neighborhoods and enhance the natural assets of our community.

Welcome to Oswego, we look forward to having you!

Regards,

Mayor Robert A. Corradino
