Fitzhugh Park

Fitzhugh Park Fitzhugh Park is located directly in front of Fitzhugh Park School, named after Henry Fitzhugh. Fitzhugh, called "one of the most prominent men Oswego ever claimed as a citizen", influenced the city greatly during his lifetime. While serving as both mayor from 1859 until 1862 and as the Canal Commisioner in 1852 and 1855, Fitzhugh also served as a member of the Assembly in 1849: his memory lives on in the park. Featuring a large playground and basketball court, Fitzhugh Park is the perfect place to bring an active child.
