CHARLES E. Gallagher Swimming Pool Opens for the Season

Gallagher Pool is a landmark of Oswego; or at least for the children. On any of the blistering days of summer, a herd of kids can be spotted surrounding the entrance area to the pool. For those not fortunate enough to have a pool at home, Gallagher Pool is the next best choice. Reasonable prices for admission to the pool ensure that all can enjoy the facility: also, swimming lessons for children of any ability are offered. Not only does the pool provide for the desire of younger children to cool off and have some fun, it also made jobs available for teenagers, as many lifeguards were needed.
