Responsibilities:
Snow plowing; paving; sewer repair / installation / maintenance; tree planting & maintenance; sidewalk installation, repairs, replacement; leaf & brush pick up. Much of the work done by the DPW is done thru a work order system, where requests come from the alderman, mayor, supervisors, even city residents for certain jobs to be completed by the DPW.
