Responsibilities:
Snow plowing; paving; sewer repair / installation / maintenance; tree planting & maintenance; sidewalk installation, repairs, replacement; leaf & brush pick
up. Much of the work done by the DPW is done thru a work order system, where requests
come from the alderman, mayor, supervisors, even city residents for certain jobs
to be completed by the DPW.
Water Main Repair:
W. D. Malone Contracting will begin repairs to the Sithe water main on West Third St. between West Mohawk St. and West Oneida St. on Monday, 3/12/12 and continue through Friday, 3/16/12 to complete the repair. Water service to all customers in the area will be unaffected. Traffic interruptions in the immediate vicinity of the repair work will be constant. Closure of the one block of West Third St. will occur during a portion of the repair work activities.
