Responsibilities:
The Oswego Water Department is responsible for providing potable water to the
City of Oswego and the town of Scriba. Our customers include industrial, commercial,
residential and fire protection for the community. Our water supply comes from
Lake Ontario and is of excellent quality. Our water treatment plant has a capacity
of 20.1 million gallons per day. Our daily flow rate is between five and ten million
gallons per day. Our process consists of chlorination, coagulation, filtration,
and fluoridation.
