The Oswego City Clerk’s Office is responsible for vital records (birth, death and marriage records) and issuance of  licenses and permits. As outlined in the City Charter, the City Clerk serves as the Clerk of the Council by preparing and distributing City Council meeting agendas and minutes. The City Clerk is responsible for maintaining the City archives consisting of all official City reports, records and documents necessary for the conduct of the City’s business. The City Clerk’s Office maintains the Oath of Office Book, lists of City Boards and Commissions and Prepares Legal Notices and Local Laws.
